There are two types of smoothie lovers out there: the ones who sip, and the ones who spoon. I will love you either way…but this is for the ladder.
I like my smoothies THICK. So thick, they can be poured into a bowl and eaten like a big bowl of ice cream. I make these when I want to sit down and enjoy this smoothie like a meal, but also…if I need it on the go, it’s quite simple, just add more liquid.
The great thing about this recipe is that you can substitute any of the fruit/liquid/greens/fats/proteins for whatever suits your style. I typically build my smoothies in the same way, but switch out the ingredients depending on what I’m feeling…but I decided to list the recipe for this beauty cuz it was damn delicious.
Berry Bliss Smoothie
1 cup almond milk
1/2 of a frozen banana
1 cup frozen berries (blueberries and strawberries)
1/4 frozen avocado
1 scoop collagen peptides
1/2 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder
1 t chia seeds
Throw into a blender and watch the magic happen. Swirl with a spoon and drizzle with almond butter and granola, and you have a smoothie that will keep you full and satisfied.
